Testimonials

What our clients have said about us:

“A big, big thank you for making our stay in Poland not only fascinating but also hugely entertaining. We loved every minute! “
Nick and Jo, Devon

Thanks for all your efforts for making this such an enjoyable trip. It was lovely to be accompanied by someone whose charm and erudition allowed us to break the ice that so often exists between tourist and host population.
John, Hertfordshire

Thank you for all your kindness and gentility in being our guide in Poland, and sharing with us so much about the history of your country. It made our visit so much more engaging and an experience I’ll not forget.
Jane, London

I enjoyed the trip so much I came back again! A wonderful blend of nature, culture, history and politics. The forests are so beautiful and atmospheric in winter, especially the horse drawn sleigh ride! The quality of food was excellent.
Alastair, Perthshire

“The itinerary re-designs of 2006 worked well again, with good views of two score of Bison in the western part of the Borecka forest. Other mammals seen by the entire group included Elk; Red & Roe Deer; Wild Boar. Red Fox, Brown Hare and Red Squirrel were other mammals observed by at least some of the group.”
Sinclair Dunnett (Naturetrek)

“European Bison, Wolf, and Lynx. These are three of the many mammals, formerly widespread in Europe but now extinct or rare in the more densely populated west, that flourish in Poland. A number of these animals are easily observed, but some only with difficulty. The object of this unusual winter holiday, that has proved such a firm favourite with clients since the first tour in 1985, is to search for the mammals of the Polish forests, and to study their tracks and signs.”
Sinclair Dunnett (Naturetrek)

On past excursions we have been priveleged to see wild boar, mountain hare, otter, raccoon dog, white tailed eagles, elk, bison, and evidence of beaver, wolf and lynx. Some animals have been seen from the confines of the lodge late at night!
